A New Environment: Transitioning From CentOs to Ubuntu for Development and Operations
Its feels good to announce the awesome experience I'm having learning Linux, especially the graphical user interface (GUI) aspect. Linux is indeed a powerful operating system with a lot to offer particularly for back-end development and DevOps. Before I stated learning ASP.Net Properly, Last year I had a great interest for Dev-Ops and I began learning Linux on Alison I also had a walk through on Azure DevOps by Raphael Gabriels(MVP) , because of Linux open source nature, its considered flexible and secure with so many distros. It’s the go-to choice for many servers and cloud environments.
My experience with Thunderbird Mail awesome, it’s different from other email-clients I’ve used.
Ubuntu Software-Manager makes the installation of applications easy.
I also installed an application using the Linux-Command Line Interface (CLI) it’s faster running command on the CLI than relying solely on the GUI.
Next week I will explore more commands on the Linux CLI I'm sure you would like to I will love to acknowledge Martin Mato for being so approachable.
