New England Life Care 2023 Leadership Changes
2023 has brought several leadership changes for New England Life Care (NELC). Michael Souza retired as NELC’s President and CEO on December 31st, 2022.?Mike has been at the helm for 10+ years and has led NELC on an incredible journey of growth and transformation and fulfilling the organization’s vision of being an indispensable care partner to our Member Hospitals and the thousands of patients across New England whose lives NELC has impacted during that time. Please join us in thanking Mike for his contributions and wishing him well in his retirement.
The NELC Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Calway, former Chief Operating Officer, as President & CEO effective January 1, 2023.??Bob has been an exemplary executive leader over his past six years as Chief Operating Officer and more recently as President and COO. Bob has risen to every challenge with an energy, optimism, and commitment reflective of our mission, vision, and values. Please join us in congratulating Bob on this well-earned promotion! We are excited for what his tenure has in store.
Next, please join us in congratulating Catherine Boyd, PA-C who has been promoted to NELC’s Chief Operating Officer.?Catherine has served as NELC’s Vice President for Clinical Services for the last two years, excelling in her leadership of all our clinical services – pharmacy, nursing, and nutrition while simultaneously developing an increasing depth of knowledge of the home infusion industry.?
Additionally, please join us in congratulating Melissa Pollender who has been promoted to the role of Executive Director for Quality, Operations, Facilities and Project Management.?Melissa will be expanding her oversight and responsibility for quality and will take on a leadership role for project management within the organization.?Melissa joined NELC in November 2009 and has served numerous roles within NELC over the last 13 years.
