On October 23–24, 2024, the “Third General Assembly of the First Session of the Double-Carbon Working Committee of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association and the Second Forum on Green and Low-Carbon Industrial Development in Construction Machinery” was successfully held in Suzhou, Jiangsu. The event focused on “Promoting Carbon Peak in Construction Machinery in a Stable and Proactive Manner and Accelerating the Creation of a Green, Low-Carbon Supply Chain.

During the “Core Technologies and Development Direction of Electrified Construction Machinery” seminar, seven industry experts presented insightful reports and shared ideas on this theme. Dr. Liu Shengqi, Senior Director at eKontrol, delivered a keynote speech on Application of High-Power, High-Speed Flat-Wire Oil-Cooled Motors in Construction Machinery.

Dr. Liu’s presentation covered three main areas: industry-level policies, trends in electrifying construction machinery, and technical pathways. He shared eKontrol’s research and successes in the field of new energy electric drive systems, with a particular focus on the company’s newly developed four-motor drive system (the eQMT series).

As both pure electric and hybrid power technologies continue to progress, market demands have focused on the high reliability, economic efficiency, and powerful performance of electric drive systems for construction machinery.
