NEW EDGE OF EDUCATION

Phase of Lockdown/Unlock, if you aren’t aware about which phase you are in, don’t worry you are not the only one.   

The point to ponder is the way we all have faced this # Corona Lockdown. 

Let me take you back, 1997-1998, I created my 1st #hotmail account. I was super excited, wrote an e-mail to my sister in #Florida. Next day, when I logged-in, Bingo!! I received one e-mail from my sister overnight. For me, this was technology at the best, otherwise the international letters would reach anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks.

Around same time, I first saw this Huge mini brick like mobile hand-set (now a days immediately after you type hand you get sanitizer as next word :). Pagers were buzzing and people attached status symbol to a pager.

I observed #communication will be faster, and we are going to face this change within short span of time. You will appreciate that as Indians we directly shifted to Mobile revolution and kind of ignored pagers.

Due to #Lockdown, we saw great changes in #Education especially How we learn i.e. medium of learning. Online meetings are common for all.  

Children demonstrated tremendous adaptation. I see kids learning school subjects, painting, #kathak and other dance forms, musical instruments like harmonium, singing and many more. A friend’s son participated in #Karate #Kata tournament and won medals. 

Many business professionals who were clueless what to do during lockdown identified new ways of doing business. One of such case is My friend @Neha Bandiwadekar who is a proud and passionate Baker, #gigglesthedeessertstop, featured her online Course on Making Cakes, Pastries and bakery products.   She says, “Going online with baking workshops was quite a challenge initially, but now that I've done it once, I have been doing it more often and with happy students not just locally, but from all around the world!!”. 

Similar stories are about Yoga Teachers, Physiotherapy advisors, Old age people are participating in Bhajan Sandhya, Antakshari and many Digital games.   

Even Court Matters on Video Conference and the way the legal fraternity including Judges, Advocates and Support staff are adapting is commendable. Funnily, everywhere you can hear Am I #Audible.       

New #Education Policy is announced. I will not be surprised if we professionals have to undergo Courses on Virtual Meeting Etiquette. 

Here is my Prediction on Education Sector, lot of action expected around Education. Spurt of Fintech Companies we experience in this decade, now new organizations would emerge and change the whole Ecosystem of Education Sector.
