New digs, new clients & a trip to Scotland: Our May round-up

New digs, new clients & a trip to Scotland: Our May round-up

May, you’ve been great but you’ve been and gone in a flash. No, literally. We blinked and before we knew it, June was peeping round the corner!

Where to even start…?

It’s safe to say 2022 in general has been a successful year so far for us but May specifically has been a good’un. We’ve hit the ground running, sprinting even, and we wanted to share with you a little insight into what we’ve been up to - trust us when we say, it’s been one hell of a ride.

Out with the old and in with a new...office!

As many of you know, we made the transition to a new office this month and the herd are absolutely loving it! From a diverse range of instagrammable stalls and fresh local produce to vintage treasures, homeware and gifts,?Newport Market?is?the place?to be right now. We are, however, developing an unhealthy obsession with?Friends in Knead?which has become a part of our daily routine - if you don’t know, get to know.?

Ultimately, we’re feeling very much at home lapping up the lively market experience!

Our visit to the Ronald Macdonald House opposite the Heath.

A team highlight this month was our visit to the Ronald MacDonald House - a charity moving mountains for children in hospital by providing their families with free accommodation so they can be close by.?

Having met the Community Fundraiser, Jordan, at one of?AllBright’s networking events in Cardiff a few months ago, we leaped at the chance to visit when she offered to give us a tour of the place. It was such a humbling experience to see the extent to which the charity supports families who need it most, and for as long as they need it.

We now hope to continue our relationship with Jordan and the charity by offering our support wherever possible.

Helping local charities is something we're immensely passionate about, in May, we've secured some amazing coverage for Dreams and Wishes Charity , a volunteer-led organisation who we offer our media relations services for pro-bono. Here's our favourite story of the month, a 3 minute feature with Kyan Harris and Joe Calzaghe on ITV News ??

New clients and record stats for our existing!

Look out, the Llamas are here to stay. This month we've exceeded our KPI's for Llanmoor Homes and Bridgend County Borough Council, we've planned some cracking events for our hospitality clients and enjoyed attending a few too. Plus, we’ve only gone and bagged ourselves 5 new clients - hoooray! Operating in the hospitality sector, charity sector and the world of tech and accountancy, we’re looking forward to plunging head-first into some new campaigns.

Up first:?fellow Newport-based-business,?Configur?- a software development company that strives to make data simple. It’s great to have you on board! ??

As part of our partnership, we’re working with the team at Configur to help them raise awareness online by creating content that's relatable and engaging. After all, making noise is what we do best.

“Loud Llama had the passion and drive for social media that we do for data and automation, so it made it a really easy decision. We are really excited to be working with them and excited to see what the future holds for us.”

Oooo stop, we’re blushing! ???

Next up:?Woodbank House. This spectacular wedding venue is just a stones throw away from our new office and set in 20 acres of its own mature Welsh woodland with views overlooking the River Usk. The owners approached us seeking assistance with organic social and we’re already loving how this partnership is working out. Stay tuned for more from this client! ?? If you don’t already, find us on Instagram @loudllama.

Last but not least, UHY Accountants. ?A Top 20 Group of UK chartered?accountants, with over 100 partners and 540 professional staff. We'll be working with the South Wales and London division to help them raise their profile on social media and beyond. A big win for us - we're excited to get started next month.

Tearin’ the tartan in Edinburgh

Now, for those of you that don’t know what ‘tearin’ the tartan’ means, it’s a little expression that Director at Loud Llama, Paris, learnt during her trip to Edinburgh with?@cactus?. This Scottish phrase essentially means ‘to have a right good old chat’ and plenty of those were had, we hear.

Paris spent her time lapping up the history-rich city, dining on delectables but more importantly, working “on” the business, not “in” it with a great group of agency owners and consultancy gurus.

Paris has also been busy creating a Digital PR course with the team at Alacrity Foundation as part of their Grow Digital programme. It's is a unique project designed to offer?Newport and Monmouthshire based?companies the best possible practical and applied support for your business to thrive online. Know a business that could benefit? Check it out!

Bank Holiday ready???

After one hell of a month and some huge successes (a few of which we've probably forgot to mention - oops!), we’re now very much looking forward to the upcoming Bank Holiday to relax, rewind and recharge our batteries to go again in June. Rumour has it, the herd are throwing a very special party ??

The Union Jack flags are already starting to appear and we’re beginning to feel a little patriotic. We hope you have fun enjoying the impending Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. We’ll catch you on the other side for our next agency life update!
