New Development In Charts for Nagaland Railways: Gets A Second Railway Station After A Gap of More Than A Century
The 100 year old railway station in Nagaland, Shokhuvi Railway Station gets a new beginning as the CM Neiphiu Rio flagged off the Donyi Polo Express from the station recently. The train runs from Assam to Arunachal Pradesh. However, now, with the recent inauguration of the Shokhuvi Railway Station after a gap of almost a century, the train will run to Shokhuvi which is a few miles away from Dimapur.
With this development, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland get directly connected to each other via train and it is indeed a blessing for the locals in Nagaland and the nearby districts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The CM mentioned that the day is historic for Nagaland as the Dhansari-Shokhuvi railway line got started again after a 100 years of gap.
The CM has also requested the railway officials to ensure proper development of the railway line and railway station so that it can best serve its purpose of better accessibility to the locals and tourists in Assam, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and the neighbouring districts.
This is great news for Nagaland and it also is a great moment for the Indian railways with this amazing attempt to connect all North Eastern states through railway terminals so that travel time can be managed and minimised.
With that said, all we can do is happily congratulate Nagaland and the railways for this amazing new development. Congratulations!
