New demulsifier compatibility verification
Our company's product is an oil-based demulsifier. In actual application, the product has good compatibility with various mineral oils and synthetic oils, and no turbidity occurs after long-term standing.
The characteristics of this demulsifier: it will not be carried away by the detached water. In actual use, as the water in the oil is continuously detached, the relative concentration of the demulsifier in the oil gradually increases, which is more conducive to oil-water separation.
You must have doubts about whether this demulsifier has a bad effect on the original formula system. Then I will analyze the effect of this demulsifier on the additives in the original formula system from the following aspects, such as copper corrosion inhibition effect, liquid phase rust effect, anti-wear effect and foam inhibition effect.
The oil involved in the experiment is the finished oil independently prepared by this laboratory (without demulsifier). Take part of the self-adjusted finished oil, and add 0.02% of the demulsifier independently developed by our company on this basis to conduct a comparative experiment.
The figure below shows the oil after adding 0.02% demulsifier, and the oil is clear and bright.
A comparative experiment was conducted according to GB/T5096-2017 "Petroleum Products Copper Strip Corrosion Test Method". As can be seen from the figure below, although both copper strips have some corrosion, the corrosion of the copper strip after adding our company's demulsifier (on the right) is obviously better than that on the left without adding demulsifier.

According to GB/T11143-2008 "Test Method for Rust Prevention of Mineral Oil with Inhibitors in the Presence of Water", the liquid phase corrosion test was carried out, and the results are as follows:
From the above picture, we can see that there are several rust spots in the middle and top of the steel rod on the left, and the right side is the effect picture after adding the new demulsifier, and there are no rust spots visible to the naked eye. It can be seen that the demulsifier has a certain inhibitory effect on liquid phase corrosion.
According to GB/T3142 "Determination of Lubricant Load Capacity Four-Ball Method", a four-ball friction test was carried out. From the results in the figure below, we can see that there is no obvious change in the diameter of the wear spot, so the demulsifier has no positive or negative impact on the anti-wear effect.
Through the above experiments, we can see that the demulsifier independently developed by our company has certain positive effects on copper corrosion inhibition, liquid phase rust and foam elimination.
