New Decade, New Business! Excel TM Group.
Firstly, let me thank you for taking the time to read my first blog post since the announcement of Excel TM Group.
I wanted to share an insight into where the idea of Excel come from and why I finally took the entrepreneur plunge! (If you can call it that)
I also once again wanted to thank everyone for their support, even some competitors who have contacted me direct and shown their interest through social media, It is truly appreciated!
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to set up my own business. I have been fortunate enough to work with some brilliant well-established companies and help smaller companies who were starting up but wanted to grow, the idea always intrigued me and through making or watching mistakes I have been able to look at things in different ways.
Naturally, the risk of setting up on my own was a key element in holding me back, along with a few bumps on the road - which of course knocked my confidence! The timing just never felt quite right and so I continued as normal.
However, at the end of last year I decided I was going to use all these risks and bumps as my ammunition, and so Excel TM Group was born.
Beliefs The first thing I wanted to do was build the company around important factors that people believed in, not just me but beliefs that would be echoed by everyone that becomes apart of this business. So many companies out there have “values” that they stand by and whilst I think they are a fantastic and help make a business stand out, whose values are they?
I have always thought that by asking those around you, professionally and personally what they believe in and what in their eyes would make them feel like they are working with the company to grow is greater than making them feel like they are just working for you. Building long lasting trust with your team (NOT STAFF) is crucial!
Our Beliefs
· Honesty
· Quality
· Consistency
· Loyalty
· Efficiency
Experience Having experience in itself should be as good of a reason as any to set up, more importantly it should give you the confidence to know what you are doing to going to be accurate and work. But having the combined sales experience of working at a lead generation provider to Construction Telemarketing and then going live onto site, we know and understand just how fast this sector moves! Working in different sectors of construction helps you to realize just how important it is to have clear lines of communication and above all, quality in every conversation you have and every meeting you book not to mention diary management!
Value for money We have all heard that phrase before “you pay peanuts you get monkeys” whilst I understand this and yes have been guilty of using it myself, I now see how this phrase can sometimes be completely ridiculous. Example – I recently spoke to an ex client who was interested in running a CPD Campaign, we got into everything and then he asked me the question we all wait for
“So what’s the daily cost of a telemarketing campaign”
I told him without hesitation and explained the reasons why the pricing had been set up in this certain way. After the minute of silence, he asked again to make sure I was right….
Creating a level of trust with our partners and being completely honest about the company and where we want to go is crucial By combining our beliefs and our experience’s from construction, we are able to look at providing our partners a return on investment and naturally value for money.
Yes, as Excel’s grows, we will naturally have to look at the company and asses how we adapt to change but when we do we will work with our team to make sure everyone can see the end goal!
