The primary reason behind this low turnover is the substantial cost associated with moving a mobile home.

While the expenses can vary depending on the market and the distance of the move, a general guideline is around $5,000 for a single-wide home and $10,000 for a double-wide.

The significant investment required to transport a mobile home acts as a deterrent to relocation to most park residents, fostering a sense of stability within the community.

Residents tend to form long-lasting relationships and develop a strong sense of belonging, contributing to a close-knit and supportive neighborhood environment.
