A New Day, A New Year, A New Start

Author: Susan Robertson

As the sun rises over the serene Caribbean Sea on the shores of St. Thomas in the USVI, I am enveloped in a moment of profound tranquility and introspection.

Some of us peer out of our windows, seeking a hint from nature about the day ahead, while others turn to technology for a glimpse into the future.? Yet, no matter our preparation, life presents surprises that often exceed our expectations.

The New Day

With its mesmerizing blend of colors and clouds, the sunrise brings in a new day and symbolizes a beacon of hope and renewal.? In this quiet hour, I'm reminded that each sunrise is a canvas for us to paint fresh beginnings, sculpt our aspirations, and embrace the unexpected.

Xavier Rudd, an Australian singer-songwriter, captures this sentiment beautifully in his song "Follow the Sun"

"Tomorrow is a new for everyone. A brand new moon and a brand new sun." - Xavier Rudd, Lyrics. Follow the Sun.

His words resonate deeply, reminding us of the continual ebb and flow of life and time.

With its aura of new beginnings, January prompts many of us to reflect on our journey over the last year, allowing us to acknowledge the wisdom we have gained through our life experiences. It's a time of transformation and growth.

With meditation and introspection, we find the courage to face both the beauty and challenges of change. -Susan Robertson, Author, Writer, Business Owner

The Sunrise

With its ever-changing clouds, today's sunrise mirrors life's unpredictability and constant motion.? It's a testament to our inherent strength and resilience and a reminder that we possess the fortitude to weather any storm.? Each day is a new chapter, an opportunity to embrace change, whether it arrives as a gentle breeze or a raging monsoon.

So, let us greet each morning with a smile and a heart filled with optimism, knowing that change is the only constant.? And in the words of Xavier Rudd:

"Many moons have risen and fallen long, long before you came. So, which way is the wind blowin' and what does your heart say?" Lyrics from Follow the Sun

These words echo the timeless wisdom of embracing the present and listening to our hearts' whispers as we navigate life's journey.
