A new cyber-crime guide for employee training has been unveiled by CyberScotland, free to download by any Scottish organisation and its staff.?

The government-backed CyberScotland Partnership is providing easy-to-understand advice on most common cyber-attacks.?

The online resource is a comprehensive explanation of the most common cyber-attacks and how to avoid falling victim to them. It also provides instructions on developing secure passwords and protecting accounts.?

Action for Children’s Boycott Your Bed fundraising event returns?

After a two-year absence, Action for Children’s Boycott Your Bed returns on Friday 7th October, with teams of sleepers coming together at five locations across the UK, including Blythswood Square Gardens in Glasgow City Centre.?

Teams taking part are being asked to fundraise in the lead up to the event and on the night they will all come together for a unique bonding experience.?

Businesses are being encouraged to sign up, team up and sleep out for one night to help raise funds to support the most vulnerable families struggling through the cost-of-living crisis.?

How is digital twin technology optimising Orkney’s buildings??

Orkney Islands Council has used pioneering digital twin tech to optimise operational performance, energy efficiency and air quality across its building portfolio.?

Working in partnership with climate tech solution provider, IES, the council has been able to centralise its building data into a single platform. The data was previously fragmented across various systems and logins.?

Migrating to a single interface allows the council to quickly identify issues and manage buildings from one location, removing the typical challenges many local authorities face when it comes to dealing with vast amounts of building data from various disparate systems.?

Twelve more Scots startups chosen for MSIP accelerator?

Twelve young companies have been successful in applying to take part in Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc’s (MSIP) latest accelerator programme.?

MSIP, a joint venture between Michelin, Dundee City Council and Scottish Enterprise, is a parc in Dundee for sustainable mobility and decarbonisation, which aims to drive growth and diversity in the Scottish economy whilst addressing the global climate emergency.?

Part funded by Scottish Enterprise and delivered by Skillfluence, the MSIP Accelerator has been specifically designed to help young companies who are developing new solutions in sustainable mobility and decarbonisation achieve a step-change in their business.?

Bruntwood Scitech doubles Scottish tech investment?

Bruntwood SciTech has revealed plans to double its investment into Glasgow, totalling £60m.?

The announcement comes three months after acquiring and announcing the redevelopment of their first digital and tech hub in Scotland, at Met Tower in the heart of the city’s innovation district.?

The property and innovation services provider will develop a new workspace of more than 100,000 sq ft adjacent to the Grade B listed Met Tower, adding a further £30m of investment to the new city centre tech and digital cluster.?
