New customers are as big a priority as keeping them. Why?

Customers are great! It would be Heaven if they never went away but they do. Customers die, close up, sell to new owners with their own supplier contacts and for other reasons go away.

Everyday, we must be developing new customer contacts. This must be a never ending activity. Advertising, events, associations or whatever.

Correct! Affective follow up by offering solutions not bragging. Remember repeat customers are your most profitable resource. Give them motivation to refer new clients Partner with the best ones or feature there website. If they sell more both benifit . You can with their approval piggy back by adding there products or services to your website..
