New Credit Line for New Investments in South Brazil

An important partnership for the sustainable development of the three southern states of Brazil was closed by the Regional Bank Far South Development (BRDE – Banco Regional de Desenvolvimento do Extremo Sul) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF - Corporacion Andina de Fomento).
The contract signed on 27 of august will make available U$ 70 million (ca. BRL 392 million) to finance projects in the Southern Federal States of Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul, the strategic focus area of NBSO Porto Alegre.
The credit line will contemplate investments in innovation, microcredit, financial inclusion, economic and social infrastructure, energy efficiency, renewable energy and agribusiness, among others, emphasizing micro, small and medium enterprises, farmers, cooperatives and municipalities from the three states.
This is the first partnership established between the two financial institutions. The intention is to foster initiatives to improve the quality of life and promote the sustainable development of the economy.
