New Creative Digital Space Now Open For Business
The moment we have eagerly anticipated has arrived: Ashton Old Baths, branded AOB, is officially open.
Many individuals within the creative community have watched in anticipation as the digital hub development neared fruition. The £4 million refurb has transformed the Grade II listed building into a new digital, creative and media hub. After watching the transformation over the last 12 months, the finished result in all its glory looks phenomenal. I have to say that the AOB team have achieved what initially seemed like the impossible. They have preserved the heritage of our community, whilst integrating it into an innovative digital working space.
The Ashton Old Baths team are dedicated to exploring opportunities to support fledgling Tameside businesses.
The ambition of the project is to provide unique and flexible working spaces for Tamesides businesses. It’s ultimate goal is to transform AOB into the central point of an innovative working environment for the digital and creative community. Upon arrival to the digital hub you’re greeted by a professionally staffed reception, and individuals are given the choice of utilising: Private Offices; Shared Offices; Coworking space; Virtual Offices; and Meeting rooms, all with flexible rental terms. The hub has everything that may be needed to support an aspiring SME into a sustainable business, including the latest high-speed, dark fibre broadband.
By creating a focal point for the digital and creative community to prosper within AOB, individuals have the opportunity to create a collaborative network while driving business for the creative and digital sector.
Talking as a representative of AsOne, a digital business located in the borough and as founder and member of the Digital Creative Network, I am thrilled to have such an amazing accessible venue on my doorstep. A digital and creative community in the heart of our district is the perfect way to inspire emerging talent to build careers in Tameside and in turn, aid our economic growth.
