You should try this...

This week I tested a new content format on LinkedIn that has;

- Generated 50K+ organic impressions

- Generated 500+ reactions, comments & shares

- Attracted tons of ideal customers to visit my profile

What's the new content format?

I call it...SYBIFF (AKA Share Your Best Ideas For Free).

I shared a cool video I found on social that had 2.8M views.

Rather than just saying, 'This is cool!' or 'Here's why this is great content'.

I shared specific ideas about HOW other marketers could create similar content.

Why did this work?

1. It provided tons of value for my ideal customer.

2. It showed I know my shit.

3. It was highly shareable.

Give it a go yourself!

In other news...

- Sorry for being pretty shit at consistently writing this email on a Friday. I had an amazing time at a mate's wedding in Turkey over the last few weeks & also realised that the email I wrote before I went didn't bloody send! Well, I'm back in business now. Prepare to receive this email every Friday, filled with brilliant marketing ideas, examples, insights, lessons & more!

- We hired two amazing new team members! Will intro you to them sooooon.

- This video really, really tickled me muhahaha.

- If I was you, I'd create a video like this . Emulate the video, but swap out the text to suit a relatable situation where your customers want something that feels a bit 'naughty'. For example, Adobe Express could create an Ad aimed at Designers who use Photoshop trying to tempt them to use Adobe Express. Or any unhealthy food brand could swap out the snacks for their own brand etc.

- Do you know anyone who can help Lloyd with this ?

- Fancy a laugh at my expense? read this .

- Proud beyond belief !

- This video really got me hahahahahah.

Thought for the day

If you want to blow your own trumpet to attract more customers, but it feels icky & you don’t want your post to flop, do this:

1. Stop worrying about it feeling ‘icky’. Do you want more sales? Well, stop worrying about what people think. Shout about your wins!

2. Talk about HOW you achieved X vs just saying ‘We achieved X’ e.g. My last post talked about HOW we helped a client 10X revenue vs ‘We helped a client 10X revenue’.

3. Share new ideas for how others can achieve similar results. E.g. ‘If I was a [insert your ideal customer] looking to achieve similar results I would try X, Y, Z’.

These tips have helped us achieve record-breaking results for our clients in 2024.

We’ve also just hired two more amazing team members who are joining the Knowlton crew!

Happy Friday!! ??

Dan (writing this) & Lloyd (in spirit)
