After six years of photography and research we are happy to announce that the book, Imperial Japanese Military and Civil Swords (1873-1945) has been picked up by a publisher. This book covers every type and rank of sword from this time period including court, army, navy, police, and civil servants. The author, John Plimpton, is a lifelong sword collector and expert, and Stephen Weese, swordfighter and writer, edited and produced the project. The publisher will announce the pre-order of the book soon and it will be revealed which company has picked up the publishing rights. Mr. Plimpton's collection of over 200 Japanese swords will now be sold since the project is complete. For more information about the book and collection, go to: https://japaneseswordbook.com/
