MacArthur has just announced the launch of a new round of its 100&Change competition, offering a single $100 million grant to tackle critical global challenges. The competition, open to organizations worldwide, seeks proposals that promise significant and lasting change. Applications will be accepted online from May 22 to August 15, 2024. 100&Change is unique as it remains global and athematic, encouraging proposals from all sectors across the globe. To date, the initiative has leveraged an additional $511 million in funding, reshaping the philanthropic sector's approach to achieving impact at scale.
MacArthur President John Palfrey expressed excitement for the upcoming round, emphasizing the program's aim to inspire groundbreaking solutions. Previous recipients include initiatives like Ahlan Simsim, reaching millions of children, and Community Solutions, working towards ending homelessness. Competitive proposals for the third round must address a significant problem with an evidence-based, feasible, and just solution.
