The New Coffee Culture!
Would you like every employee in your organisation to know what your organisation is there for? What is its purpose? What is its mission statement? What is its goal??
If you answer yes to any of these, you are not alone. With COVID came work from home. In the post COVID world, we have hybrid work which has brought flexibility, work life balance and reduced cost of living. The cost of all these benefits is lack of engagement, reduced morning coffee runs, next to no Friday drinks, and almost no birthday cakes in the office. One would say why does that matter. It matters because almost everyone needs a sense of belonging, a sense of community, and for allot of us our workplaces provide this or at least did before hybrid work became a norm.?

While hybrid work is great and it’s here to stay, we need to find a way for our employees, teams, projects and individuals working from home to still have that sense of belonging and connection. In absence of this empowerment, challenges like rising attrition, employee burn out, lack of engagement would keep affecting employees and organisation negatively.?

What can we do? How can we make a change to the workplace, to the community and to the well-being of our people??
We provide a purpose, goal, a smart goal, an objective and key results that are clearly defined and aligned to my organisation goal. Every time I complete a task, I know how much I have contributed towards my organisation achieving its goals. If my tasks and results provide me direct insight into the organisational objective and key results, I am much more likely to be engaged and empowered to enable my organisation to achieve its goal.
I am much aligned to my organisation goals; I have a purpose and sense of belonging for my organisation. It is less of a transactional relationship and a much more ownership you have in your organisation success leading to a sense of purpose allowing for the new hybrid world to have thriving organisations and engaged employees living a wholesome life turning that frown into a smile when you work from home day after day.
