And a new chapter begins...

Friday ended a long chapter in my career and life when I had my last day at Mobius Medical Systems. I have worked in radiation therapy QA for almost 14 years, but starting on September 27th I get to embark on a new adventure in the Radiology arena.

I've been given an incredible opportunity with a startup company here in Madison called HealthMyne where I will be the Vice President of Marketing. I will have the honor of working with an incredible group of entrepreneurs who have commercialized over $1.5B in medical devices and software already. I truly believe this venture will add to their already impressive successes. I am especially excited because my boss has already told me that he feels a big part of his job is to be a mentor for the executive team and impart all the knowledge he's gained over the years building businesses and commercializing products. This is something I've craved for a long time and I can't wait to absorb it all.

I want to thank everyone that I have had the pleasure of working with over the last almost decade and a half. It would have never happened if the owners of Standard Imaging hadn't given me my start in radiation QA and if Nathan Childress hadn't provided the opportunity to be part of such a talented team. I have no doubt that Mobius will continue to grow its market and achieve enormous success. I also need to acknowledge the many medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other clinicians who shared their knowledge with me. Without their help I would have been truly lost many times over.

I will miss seeing all the friends I've made over the years at the AAPM and ASTRO conferences. It will be strange next week not being in Boston where I know my recent co workers and 14 years of acquaintances will be. If any of you will be in Chicago for RSNA please stop by and say hi as that will be the next big meeting I'll be attending.

I'll throw a shameless request in here too. Some of you probably know a progressive radiologists or two who is interested in the latest advancements for their profession. If so, please pass their information on to me or pass mine to them. We will be hitting the ground running after RSNA and any contacts shared are greatly appreciated.

So, the next chapter begins...
