? A New Chapter Begins... ?

After an incredible 6 years at Elevate Multi Academy Trust , I will be stepping down as School Improvement Director at the end of the year. It has been an absolute privilege and a pleasure to serve this incredible community, working alongside such dedicated and passionate individuals. Together, we've navigated many challenges, including the unprecedented times of the pandemic, and driven improvements that have positively impacted our students, staff, and communities.

During this time, I have learned so much about leadership, capacity-building, and the power of collaboration across a community of schools. I will be sharing some reflections soon.

But before you ask — no, I’m not retiring! ??

Instead, I am creating space to pause and reflect on my journey, collaborate with others, and focus on key projects before stepping into the next chapter of my career where I can continue to add value in my sphere of influence. Education remains my passion, and I am more committed than ever to its transformative power.

I also see this as a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring leader to step into this role and bring fresh perspectives to the trust. I’m confident that the right person will continue to drive positive impact and help Elevate Multi Academy Trust thrive in its mission to support our children, staff, and wider community.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the entire Elevate MAT community — your support, trust, and belief in me have made this journey unforgettable. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to contribute to the success of our trust. Nigel Ashley
