A New Chapter Begins: Moving with Moxie

This week, I joined Moximed as President and CEO. It is an honor to join this team of trailblazers, and I want to thank Anton Clifford PhD and our Board of Directors for their support as this exciting new chapter begins.

I’ve spent my career working with disruptive med-tech companies and bringing state-of-the-art technologies to physicians and patients who need them most. I have long admired Moximed's bold vision to create the first implantable shock absorber for the knee. Every new medical technology begins with innovators who dare to challenge the status quo, and this spirit of moxie is something I will continue to push for in this role.

We know that there are millions of people suffering from medial knee osteoarthritis (OA) and this pain goes beyond the physical symptoms. When people can’t enjoy their everyday activities without pain, this condition can have far reaching implications. Many people with mild-to-moderate knee OA are otherwise healthy and in their prime years. The MISHA? Knee System was designed to support these patients –?those who aren’t ready or are ineligible for total knee replacement. Moximed’s clinical studies and first commercial cases with the MISHA Knee System have shown us that this can be a solution that helps preserve knee function before end-stage surgery.

I’m inspired by the stories I’ve already heard from patients like Thomas, Karla and Zach who have all been positively impacted by the MISHA Knee System. It’s incredible to see our therapy making a real impact in the lives of everyday people. In the coming weeks, I’m excited to connect with Moximed’s surgeon partners, all of whom have helped our team progress and deliver a patient-friendly treatment option.

This is an incredible time to join Moximed. Our team’s passion and dedication to advancing patient care can be felt at every level of the organization. We’ve already accomplished so much, but there’s still work to be done. I can’t wait to see how far we’ll go together.
