NEW CALLERS AND BUSY TIMES FOR VALLETTA CRUISE PORT
The last months at Valletta Cruise Port plc were characterised by a hustle and bustle in port with a number of regular callers including weekly calls by MSC World Europa, P&O Azura and Costa Fascinosa, numerous calls by Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Escape, Queen Victoria and Marella Explorer 2 to mention a few, but also a number of new visitors.
Disney Dream, the third ship in Disney Cruise Line 's collection was on her maiden call to the Maltese Islands in the early summer days with an overnight stay at Valletta Cruise Port leaving Malta on the following evening – a highly anticipated call by locals who congregated on the adjacent waterfront to experience her iconic horn.
A ray of light made her way into port on an atypical cloudy summer day. The newly-launched Silver Ray called Valletta Cruise Port on her first call in early summer, impressing with her asymmetrical design and seamless destination connections.
More recently the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection's superyacht Ilma, meaning "water" in Maltese, has made her stunning inaugural call at the Maltese port with a customary plaque exchange marking the day.
Meanwhile Atlas Ocean Voyages’ World Traveller and guests enjoyed local bites, Maltese folk dancing and the lively tunes of a traditional village band on the Valletta Cruise Port quays with panoramic views of the historical Grand Harbour. Valletta Cruise Port is looking forward to yet another busy autumn and winter season welcoming more guests to experience destination Malta.
