Iceland's success with £1 range ??

Iceland added 50 own-brand £1 meals to its inventory this month, as consumers look to make savings in the new year. The value line sales jumped 61% in the first half of January,? with demand for its £1 meals up 84% in the first week of the month.

Biggest ever Christmas for Premier Foods ???

The owner of Bisto, Mr Kipling, and Ambrosia has revealed that strong sales last month were down to selective discounting. During its third quarter period to 30 December, the group’s total sales climbed 14.4% to £352.7m, with branded products up 12.7% and non-branded jumping 22.4%. Due to this, the promotions will be continued and extended to other products.

M&S cuts prices of family favourites ?

The supermarket has slashed prices of?65 popular food lines by up to 6% and has extended its separate price lock campaign. Some of the products included are strawberries, bananas and tomato soup. The price lock also covers over 100 items and has been extended until after Easter this year.

Co-op seeks out small food and drinks businesses ??

The Co-op is searching for new companies to join their accelerated support scheme. The Apiary programme offers tailored support and advice to help small businesses release their products into their stores. Last October, six suppliers released their items into stores, including HumaniTea and Lo-cal.

Holland & Barratt x Life Kitchen taste-boosting range ??

Aimed at people battling taste-altering illnesses, such as cancer and long-covid, the wellness retailer has developed a flavour-boosting range. Created in partnership with Life Kitchen, the products are made to enhance each of the five basic senses: sweet, salt, bitter, sour, and umami.

Müller releases two Cadbury bottled drinks ??

Müller Yoghurt & Desserts has expanded the use of its Cadbury license, after launching two new milkshakes under the Mondelez chocolate brand. The drinks will be available in Sainsbury's for £2 a bottle in chocolate and creamy chocolate caramel flavours.
