New Beginnings

Earlier this year as the COVID pandemic turned our world upside down, I was left wondering how I could contribute. So when I was approached to join the healthcare industry and especially one of the top 10 public healthcare companies in the world,  Philips Healthcare, to support the digital transformation for personal health and tele-health, there was only one answer… YES!!

Getting into Healthcare:

Healthcare is still broken around the world. I say this while applauding the efforts of the healthcare workers every day. Interestingly, during these unprecedented times, we have seen that there has been a giant leap in digital healthcare and an accelerated move towards more decentralized and personalized healthcare offerings. Telehealth is projected to grow by 64% in the U.S. this year alone per a Frost and Sullivan report.

What the pandemic is bringing to the fore is how our homes are destined to play a central role in the healthcare system of the future. Rather than having patients travel to see healthcare providers, can we bring healthcare to their doorsteps?

Remote digital health technology can foster a more holistic, longitudinal, and ultimately effective approach to taking care of health and health issues.
