New Beginnings, New Offerings, Same Service

I mentioned to my clients late last year we are doing some new and creative things in 2018. Our intent is to look at what we do with clients and think about how we could add more value to them while staying true to our mantra of "Building Capability" and going "Beyond Competency".

So here is the first of those....

I am pleased to announce the beginnings of The Deering Group Training (logo above). It is a new and exciting element of The Deering Group and will be managed by Kevin Cash.

So what's different about The Deering Group Training?

Our focus will continue to be on enabling organisations and their people to move beyond competency and become more able in the things they do each day. Working with them to improve their skills, knowledge, and attitude, leading to improvements in organisational Proficiency, Productivity and Profitability.

In the world of training, we believe that a lot of the training that occurs is unnecessary. It places an unnecessary burden on businesses and often adds little value. Our agenda is to only offer training that,

  1. Results in students actually learning. Developing skills, gathering knowledge, and importantly learning how to apply, and
  2. Is applicable instantly in the workplace, and
  3. The event adds value. Try us, you will see.

So how will The Deering Group Training business help in that way? (I hear you ask)

We are launching our flagship offering of the Course in Field Based Training and Assessment (10235NAT - Course in Field-based Training and Assessment). Focussed on delivering the skills and knowledge required for people who are Trainers and Assessors in the real world. This is a very practical and relevant course helping people in the workforce do this better, add more value, and enjoy the experience (Trainer and

Trainee). For those old enough (like me) this is a contemporary and supercharged "Train the Trainer" (and Assess the Assessor) program, delivered with an AQF outcome.

So what industries or types of roles will this help? (I hear you again...)

This can be applied anywhere somebody coaches, trains, or assesses another person. Retail, Infrastructure, Aged Care, Child Care, Resource Sector, this list is not exhaustive, so you name it, this applies. As the old nursery rhyme goes "Butchers, Bakers and Candlestick Makers", we can help all comers.

To be clear this is not a full TAE and neither does it seek to replace the TAE package. This is all about helping people that perform the roles of Trainer, Assessor or Coach within a workplace do that job better. It is ideally suited for people in organisations that manage their own enterprise training and internal requirements. Learning real skills that can instantly be applied in the workplace and improving the quality of learning and assurance.

We have our first offering of this course in February (19-23) and would be more than happy to discuss getting you or someone from your team in to have a look and experience this excellent program. (If you need to know more send Kevin or I a note or give us a call). We will be running this course each month and are also in discussion with some clients about offering this in-house for them.

What other things are you doing in The Deering Group Training?

We are increasing our curriculum but our strict criteria (Learning, Application and Value) means we don't rush into broad or generic offerings.

We have some excellent people coming on board in The Deering Group Training who will be able to deliver your internal training needs. from working with you to understand what you need through to running the event, The Deering Group can assist.

If you want some help in this area, please let Kevin or I know, and it will be our shout for coffee.
