Rural Schools Collaborative
Building sustainable rural communities through a keen focus on place, teachers, and philanthropy.
Rural Schools Collaborative is celebrating a season of new beginnings and fond farewells. July marks the beginning of our new fiscal year, and we are pleased to welcome our new board member, Melissa Harris, to the team. We also acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our outgoing board member,?Michael Robinson. RSC is immensely grateful for Mike's dedication to our mission over the years, and our team would not be where it is today without his leadership. Thank you, Mike!
Rural Schools Collaborative is excited to welcome?Melissa Harris?to The Board of Directors. Melissa is a passionate advocate of rural education, and is excited to join the board and continue the development of the organization.
“RSC's mission of "Building sustainable rural communities through a keen focus on place, teachers, and philanthropy" is one I deeply believe in and a transformational journey we embark on together. By joining the Board of Directors for the Rural School Collaborative, I am committed to supporting the change envisioned by our organization's theory of change. Together, we will build bridges, ignite possibilities, and ensure that every rural student has equitable access to quality education and the opportunity to thrive in the 21st-century world.” - Melissa Harris
Outside of her dedication to Rural Schools Collaborative, Melissa is a Fellow with?Transcend Education?serving in the role of Partner, Rural Ecosystems, and leads by building conditions, partnerships, experiences, and resources toward deep and sustained impact in service of extraordinary, equitable learning in rural communities.
