To New Beginnings

Dear Friends,

Are you ready for some good news of my adventure? After a short absence with my Monthly Newsletters, I am ready to bring it back for you, packed to the brim. I hope you’re all having a positive, inspiring 2018?!

In January I worked with a wonderful team of passionate film makers on a Short Film called “Thanatos Palace Hotel” directed by the lovely Gaby Gabriel where I was the lead female, Marguerite.

Then I moved house at the end of January - early February… which was a little stressful but a positive change. I am loving making this new place my home but any housewarming gifts of chairs and bedside tables are most welcomed.

Recently I had a really fun, 2 day shoot with a great advertising campaign team for UNSW (University of New South Wales) and I hope to share some fantastic photos from the project with you soon. Keep your eyes peeled on their website because our small group of multicultural actors will be live soon.

As some of you may know, I originally started as a dancer/actor but it wasn’t until my mid-teens that I really ‘discovered’ singing when I competed in the Bunbury Eisteddfod with my best friend at the time and we won 1st Place. This opportunity opened my eyes to a world I had not contemplated before and the Bunbury Eisteddfod was the seed to my ultimately finding my true love and passion of a career – performing (Singing and acting). So I’m really honoured to announce that the Bunbury Eisteddfod have recently invited me as a special guest performer to sing at the 60th Anniversary Gala on 23rd June 2018. I can’t wait to share more on this.

I have been doing a plethora of diverse auditions, attending some exciting events like The Launch of Contained on Cockatoo Island and Yana Groves’ launch of Bloomtime Media, plus a huge highlight for me, my 1st trip to the Blue Mountains which was out of this world breathtaking. A truly magical, phenomenal place and I can’t wait to revisit. 8hrs of hiking over 2 days and I still craved for more!

Some of you may have noticed my website is currently down. There have been a few technical issues and hoping to resolve it as soon as possible.

Special mention: one of our precious, beloved fur babies, little Elle, passed away on Monday night at the beautiful age of 17.5 years old. It was a heartbreaking loss. Please visit my www.instagram.com/ClaraHelms to see a collage homage to her sweet meows and give her some love.
