New AXLE LOAD : 14MT to 18MT Cargo Securing can help reduce transit damages

Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MorTH) had issued NEW AXLE LOAD norms which allowed 14 MT - 15MT pay load , 10 Wheeler Trucks, to be eligible for 18MT Load.

The intention of the government is to reduce the Logistics Cost.

While, for Fleet Operators, this means enhanced earning potential, there are two pitfalls to Avoid.

First the Load that you select for 18 MT needs to have "Improved Packaging" and suitable cartons / Primary packaging to withstand Higher Stack Stress.

Note that, as shown in Pic, while you move Higher to load any cargo, the BOTTOM CARGO faces increased Pressure and could get damaged, resulting in Damage PODs.

Second, is the Securing Arrangements need to be in line with Cargo you are carrying.
