New Associate Q&A: Dylan Kramer
What is your professional background, and what led you to develop an interest in that field?
I have always been interested in advances in technology and what is coming next, so engineering felt like a natural path for me to follow. Having grown up in Southern California and wishing to explore a different part of the country, I decided to pursue mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

What attracted you to a career in intellectual property law at Knobbe Martens?
After graduating from Georgia Tech, I knew I wanted to return to California to continue my education. I attended UCLA Law School and found that my engineering skills and love for technology paired nicely with a career in intellectual property law. As an Orange County native, and the son of two lawyers, I was familiar with Knobbe Martens’ reputation as a leader in the intellectual property space.

What is one thing you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside of the firm, I enjoy travelling, golfing, and spending time at the beach surfing or snorkeling with friends and family.
