Press Release: New App to be showcased - how to achieve rapid crew mobilisation with minimal risk.
Stephen Ford and the Multitone Electronics team to showcase a new ‘flawless communication’ app?at UK’s major ‘blue light’ event, BAPCO, this March.?
BAPCO, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023, is the UK’s largest public safety exhibition and conference, bringing together organisations and businesses focused on supporting Britain’s emergency services with the latest and best technology and communication. The 2023 annual event will be held in Coventry on 7 - 8 March. Multitone Electronics, one of the UK’s leading specialists in critical communication solutions, is proud of its association with the event and will demonstrate there its latest solutions including the Appear Crew app.
What does the Multitone Appear Crew App do?
Appear Crew is Smartphone Paging for Emergency Services. The app brings paging to smartphones, complementing the use of radio pagers for callouts and future-proofing emergency services. The app has several distinctive benefits, such as an ability to override silent & DND settings on smartphones. It is two-way device enabling crew to respond at the press of a button, which is then reported to Control and/or the fire station. The app has multiple methods of call-out delivery to ensure rapid mobilisation and minimise risks.

Stephen Ford is always a big draw at BAPCO. Not only has he 40 years’ telecoms experience, but he also has a very deep knowledge of Multitone’s cutting edge software innovations and how they work both in emergency services stations, and in central comms departments.
Peter Eborall is Multitone’s Senior Emergency Services Accounts Manager and one of the company’s longest serving employees. Peter said:
“BAPCO is a great event. It's the one exhibition that emergency service organisations visit when they have mobilising projects in the planning. They can see and touch the latest products and technologies on offer. I am looking forward to catching up with customers we have worked with for a long time, and to meeting new ones. The chance to demonstrate our Appear Crew App is especially exciting, bringing together mature and future technologies. It is fully integrated into the station end solution, and so visitors can see exactly how it will work at their site.”
Together with Peter, Multitone colleague Jason Humphreys (Emergency Services Account Manager) is the newest member of the team. He says:
“This will be my second BAPCO event. I’ve always been a huge fan of new technologies, so I will be interested in what latest offerings are coming into the market. I’m also looking forward to demonstrating how easily Multitone’s mobilising solution works. It combines the use of pagers with our innovative Appear Crew App, giving flawless communication at critical times.”?
