What's Phone Validation Bulk API?

This API is tailor-made for businesses that handle large amounts of phone records and need to validate them quickly and efficiently. Here’s what it can do:

  • Phone Line Type Identification: It determines whether the phone number is a landline, cell phone, or VoIP.
  • Carrier Information: The API provides carrier details like the name of the phone company, OCN number, and location.
  • Ported Numbers and Line Status: You can check if a number was ported to a different carrier and whether it’s active or disconnected.
  • SMS Email Lookup: The API can return an SMS email address for cell phone numbers.
  • Do Not Call (DNC) List Check: Ensure compliance by checking if numbers are on Federal and State DNC lists.
  • TCPA Litigator Status: The API can also detect whether a number has been involved in TCPA lawsuits or associated with TCPA litigators.

This API only supports US phone numbers, and with our cumulative pricing model, the more records you process each month, the lower the cost per query. This pricing structure is ideal for companies that process high volumes of phone numbers, as you’ll get more value with increased usage.

How It Works: Phone Validation Bulk API Guide Overview

1. Send API: Your system sends a list of phone numbers along with their record IDs via POST in JSON format to the Send API. We then accept the data, process the payment, and start an asynchronous (offline) process to validate those numbers.

2. Real-Time Status Updates: Once the process begins, you’ll get immediate feedback from the Send API. This includes the status (success or failure), the number of phone records received, the service selected, an estimated completion time, cost, payment ID, and any error details. Most importantly, you’ll receive a unique KEY to retrieve your results later via the Receive API.

3. Receive API: Once your validation process is complete, schedule the Receive API to retrieve the results. Use the KEY from the Send API to check the processing status and download your data.

  • If the processing is still in progress, the API will return a “Running” status, along with the number of records processed so far and the estimated time to complete.
  • If the process is complete, you’ll receive the data in JSON (default) or XML format.
  • If something went wrong, the API will show a “Stopped” or “Error” status, with specific error details.
