New Alpha ESS SMILE5 hybrid inverter

The "human" scale of this unit is very attractive. A big black and white column of energy storage and power. Today my students at my Smart Energy Lab installed the new Alpha ESS SMILE5 inverter and 2 x 5.2kWh battery modules. The unit is hard wired to the LAN and provides easy monitoring via the Alpha ESS App or web portal. With a charge/discharge rate of 100A this unit can really pump the solar power in and pump the good juice out in the evenings.
