New A.I. tools allow boardroom consultants to upgrade to 20x20's, 4D Cube SWOTS and Gantt charts bridging multiverse string theory

Boardroom consulting is a service industry typically slow to adopt new tools. Why change a winning formula, especially if it implies you can no longer reformat old reports and need to produce something new? Nevertheless, change is coming with rise of A.I. replacing the junior analysts who used to do all the work.

We meet in London's Canary Wharf with senior HRM consultant Cathy to discuss how advances in A.I. are redefining her work with clients. "We used to start with an Ansoff 2x2 that an analyst would draw from archives of clients in the same sector. Now we have an LLM that pulls data from the same archive, but extrapolates it into any number of cells you want". She swipes her tablet and casts a chart to the big screen in the room. "Look, I can ask the system to expand this market axis as broad as I believe is required to dazzle the audience. If I don't specify how to expand, it will just make topics up and add footnotes of where one can look up the meaning of whatever it put in. It's great".

"At first we were worried we could no longer reuse old material with new accounts, and would have to spend time on actual research and analysis. But a little A.I. magic interprets and extrapolates material so convincingly we can even put old material in front of the same client and overwhelm them such they'll never notice! Check out this client's SWOT from last week. Simple stuff. With a few simple prompts, I can expand it by splitting Threats up into existential, allergenic, explosive and recurring, and then add suggestions based on today's weather report. The other three quadrants re-fill automatically. Amazing."

She continues tapping on her screen. "Whatever the new charts come out as, I prompt the system to create supporting media. Like a 10-minute podcast and news articles in Bloomberg style, and integrate a number of alarmist keywords. Three days before meeting the client, I send them the media to prime them for these charts. It's almost like time travel; we use the report output to trigger the brief asking for the report I already have. Marty McFly couldn't have predicted the future would be so cool!"
