New AI Tool for Adobe Acrobat

This innovative tool introduces a conversational engine or chatbot feature, enabling users to interact with documents in a more intuitive manner, including summarization, Q&A sessions, and personalized recommendations based on content.

Powered by the same AI and ML models as Adobe Liquid Mode, this enhanced Acrobat offers a suite of new capabilities, such as an AI Assistant providing intuitive recommendations and answering queries, intelligent citation generation for verification, easy navigation through clickable links, and formatted output tailored for various purposes like emails, reports, and presentations.

Notably, customers can leverage the AI Assistant with virtually any document format, with Adobe ensuring adherence to stringent data security protocols, promising not to store or utilize customer document information for training without explicit consent.

This AI upgrade aims to significantly enhance productivity by automating time-consuming tasks associated with handling extensive text documents. From students accelerating research processes to project managers swiftly summarizing meetings and sales professionals responding promptly to client requests, the AI Assistant empowers users to focus more on insights and analysis.

But Adobe's vision for this AI tool doesn't stop here. A roadmap outlines future functionalities, including AI-driven authoring, editing, formatting, data collection from multiple documents, and integrations with Adobe's Firefly family of creative AI models.

Initially offered in a beta phase to Acrobat customers on Standard, Pro, and Teams subscription plans at no additional cost, the AI Assistant promises enhanced functionality for paying customers once it exits beta, with a new add-on subscription plan extending access to Reader and Acrobat users.
