A New AI Platform Is Delivering Clear, Generative Text Without Jibberish (Occasionally) ??

Do you appreciate generative image tools such as Midjourney , Picasso & DALL·E 2, yet wish they could produce more coherent text inside their images?

You can finally say goodbye to time-consuming Photoshopping or inpainting to remove nonsensical text with Ideogram AI offering (occasional) text clarity! ??

Take Midjourney To Crazy New Heights!

Our comprehensive Midjourney training sessions and workshops will massively elevate your ability to create stunning images - for users at all levels!??

Judging by the number of generations in the "top" section of Ideogram AI's community section referring to Midjourney's inability to produce coherent text, many generative AI users have quite clearly been waiting for this feature!

Similarly to Midjourney, it looks like Ideogram has been launched with the ability to create specific textures quite accurately, such as this wool/knitted Deadpool doll we saw trending alongside other pop culture characters in this style.

Everything is made out of fluffy crochet, a miniature Deadpool with a big head, happy and smiling, 8k ultra realistic detailed render, cartoon style

As well as this, many Midjourney users have expressed frustration over the platforms' PG13/Safe For Work (SFW) approach to prompts and keywords.

Midjourney has restricted numerous keywords from being added to its platform, and although there is a new AI appeal system to bypass these filters (if you feel like what you entered was appropriate and potentially incorrectly identified as breaching the platform guidelines for SFW prompting) this system is still not always accurate, and can be frustrating for creatives looking to push boundaries.

In contrast, Ideogram AI seems FAR more lenient with prompts and keywords.

This flexibility might be risky, especially during election seasons, and for PR purposes it could bring headlines surrounding controversy for what it allows anyone who can write a prompt into their platform to create. We've curated a few mildly inappropriate cases below, but there's far more extreme and controversial stuff circulating on the platform - probably too much for LinkedIn to handle! ??

"a Japanese hotdog brand with the word 'vegan' written in mustard, typography, text"

Just a week after its public rollout, there's already been a huge surge in political propaganda prompting on the platform. Only time will tell which platform's approach is best - unrestricted keywords in prompting can lead to some very controversial (and occasionally hilarious) stuff being made by a community, we've screenshot some below (with some edits on the most controversial ones).

Generative AI In The UK Law (Latest)

On 31 August, the UK House of Commons Science, Innovation, and Technology Committee (SITC) published an interim report urging the government to accelerate its implementation of a regulatory regime for AI.

Reports come as the UK prepares to host the?Global AI Safety Summit?in November with 12 key challenges of AI governance that policymakers and the frameworks they design must meet in this timeframe:

1) Bias

2) Privacy

3) Misrepresentation (in AI-generated material)

4) Access to data

5) Access to computing power

6) Black box challenge (i.e. unexplainable AI)

7) Open source challenge (i.e. should powerful models be made open source or proprietary?)

8) IP and copyright issues

9) Liability (i.e. who is liable for the harm done?)

10) Employment challenge (i.e. job disruption by AI)

11) International Coordination challenge (i.e. development of governance frameworks must be an international undertaking)

12) Existential challenge (i.e. protections for national security)

Periodically we'll keep you updated on the UK-specific AI governance and regulatory action we feel is worth reporting on and it seems that we finally have some clarity around the areas of focus for the UK government when considering frameworks for AI, with the 12 categories above being clearly defined.

Played around with Ideogram a bit and it was funny when one of the test images was suddenly listed in the top directory. - But now to find it again here on LinkedIn (the Banksy-one) is really amusing ...
