New agro hub, Mexico hosts TYLL's first Investor Day!

As part of The Yield Lab Latam's 2024 strategies, Mexico has positioned itself as a significant player. It's so relevant that Mexico hosted the first Investor Day of the year on February 22, where YLL presented the results of the last quarter of 2023 to local investors and provided a networking space with portfolio companies and key players in the innovation ecosystem, as BID Lab Invest (Inter-American Development Bank), 500 Startups and AWS (Amazon Web Services). It was a very important meeting to show what is new in innovation in agrifoodtech.

In Mexico, investors like Nestlé, Fondo de Fondos, PSM and Bimbo join forces with other major Latin American companies in YLL's projects to invest in impactful startups in the coming years. During the Investor Day, YLL presented some investment decisions and discussed how the fund, with broad regional presence, identifies market trends for agrifoodtech in Latin America. TYLL also held the 5th Agrifoodtech Roundtable meeting with discussions on the importance of promoting impact investments in the Latin American region.

The visit to Mexico also included TYLL Directors participating in the Latin American Impact Investing Forum (FLII), the sector's leading event bringing together investors, entrepreneurs, corporations, venture funds, organizations, and relevant actors in the impact ecosystem. In his participation with specialists from Solena, TechnoServe and Fondo de Fondos, TYLL Director Tomás Pe?a emphasized the opportunities that the food sector offers to Latin America, which is one of the world's leading producers of various agricultural crops. Furthermore, the TYLL team, in collaboration with PSM Company and SP Ventures, organized a cocktail event that brought together key players in the ecosystem to exchange experiences and opportunities, in addition to the participation of TYLL portfolio companies, such as Microterra.

March arrives with high expectations as the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit event takes place in San Francisco, United States. On the 19th, TYLL Director Tomás Pe?a will participate in a panel alongside Nestlé, Bimbo, BID (Inter-American Development Bank), Fondo De Fondos, and other experts discussing the opportunities that Mexico offers to the global agtechfood industry. The country's strategic proximity to major markets positions it as a crucial player in regional and global food security.
