A new adventure

A new adventure

After nearly 300 daily lockdown webinars, I’m hoping the SASIG community will forgive me if I take some much-needed R&R. Just a couple of weeks then I’ll be back in the SASIG saddle, refreshed and raring to go. Except I’ll not then be working from beautiful Whitby but instead I’ll be logging in with my new 4G dangle from a towpath somewhere in England.

Jo and I (and Doris of course) are about to start a new adventure, something that’s been No 2 on my bucket list for many years. Quite spontaneously we’ve bought ourselves a 60’ narrowboat, and we’re going to spend 9 months living on and working from the UK canal network until our new house is finished at Christmas. I’ve always wanted to see the four seasons on the water, there’s a window of time in our plans when we can do this, technology enables us to continue SASIG service as normal, so we’re grabbing the chance and setting sail on Saturday. (We welcome from the wonderful SASIG community your ideas for a new name for our craft – thinking caps on, clean suggestions only.)

Avast there, ye landlubbers! I’ll be back in touch very soon, meanwhile HMS SASIG continues apace in full sail under Captain Danny and his crew. If not before, I’ll see you all at the SASIG Skills Festival on 13 May 2021 – don’t miss this, please.

Enjoy, I'll be thinking of you whilst I'm on my widebeam :)

Such a wonderful idea. Intrigued by a 4G dangle... :-)
