The New ABC: Always. Be. Connecting

The New ABC: Always. Be. Connecting

Greetings Friends

If you've ever white-knuckled the interstate 5 from LA to San Francisco you may not have known you were speeding through Alameda County where some of the first Cab and Chard vines were planted in California.

In this month's newsletter, you'll learn more about that from a realtor who specializes in the Tri-Valley area. I'm also serving up 3 terrific local LA events that are happening next week as well as sharing three, 3-bedroom investment gems that will make your jaw drop and heart soar as they are all priced under $1M.

Always. Be. Connecting.

Good People. Good Things. Good Opportunities.

Making Stronger Family Connections: Meet Barbara Benotto

Clickthrough to watch Barbara

Taking the 5 from LA to SF may save you 90 minutes, but the task of outracing souped up Honda Civics is so exhausting that when I’d finally glimpse the wind turbines in the Altamont Pass, I’d exhale a sigh of relief, blithely ignoring that I was racing past one of California’s iconic grape-growing regions and one of its fastest growing communities.

Barbara Benotto has lived in the Tri-Valley region for over 25 years. Before she began her real estate career in 2014, she developed construction products that made homes stronger and safer. Now, she likes to believe that as a realtor, she makes family connections stronger. And, after personally experiencing her warmth, deep knowledge, and love of community, I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment.

Meet Barbara in the short video here, and if you are considering Alameda County for residential or investment purposes, I’d love to make an introduction.

Things To Do In LA Next Week

The Holiday season is upon us as are some terrific local events. Here are three I highly recommend.

**Note, I'm slightly biased on the 3rd one below, because I'm actually involved in it. Hope to see you there.

The MoMA Contenders

Maestro

As it's done for the past few years, The Hammer Museum in Westwood is presenting The Museum of Modern Art’s renowned series of influential, innovative films from the past 12 months. Whether bound for awards glory or cult classic status, each of these 10 films (including Maestro, The Boy and the Heron, May December and Killers of the August Moon) is likely a contender for lasting historical significance. Tickets are $10 for Hammer Members and $20 General Admission and you can purchase them at the link below.

Painting in the River of Angels: Judy Baca and The Great Wall

The Great Wall of Los Angeles

Judy Baca’s half-mile–long The Great Wall of Los Angeles, a collaborative mural painted in the 1970s along the Tujunga Wash, has received all sorts of love in the past few years. But LACMA has a particularly unique show to boast about: The local Chicana muralist and SPARC artists will paint two new sections of The Great Wall during museum hours. The exhibit also debuts a new section of the wall, in honor of activists known as the Freedom Riders, dubbed Generation on Fire.

A Celebration of Peace

All we are saying, is give peace a chance

With so much current distress in the world, come together with friends and family for a Celebration of Peace at diesel Bookstore in the Brentwood Country Mart on Tuesday December 5th. Authors Josh Freeman and Paul Small (A Festival of Light) lead an exploration of the many ways humans strive for peace; of mind, of spirit and of community. This event is free to attend but seating is limited so reserve a seat in advance.

So grateful for my Sellers who collaborated with me on a listing strategy that brought remarkable results.

Here are the highlights:

The Strategy:

  • Pre-inspection to uncover what potential buyers would likely find during the inspection period, allowing us to repair and/or disclose to eliminate escrow surprises.
  • Compass Concierge funding to refresh the home cosmetically prior to listing; painting, landscaping, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry (Zero out-of-pocket costs, no interest, no fees).
  • Stage the home so it looks and feels move-in ready for buyers whose imagination may be limited.
  • A two-week showing period with 8 hosted open houses to ensure the widest possible exposure in the shortest amount of time.

The Results:

  • 174 Groups toured the property
  • 3 offers countered
  • Sold at $1,320,000 ($32,000 over offering price)

Who Do You Know?

If you, or someone you know is ready to demand more from their real estate representative, please reach out to schedule some time on my calendar below. I’d love to have a conversation with you.

Thank you.

A native Angeleno, I grew up in a "show-biz family" and began my career as a third-generation theatrical agent impacting the careers of actors including the likes of Crispin Glover, Ray Liotta and Demi Moore. After beginning a family, I traded Sunset Blvd for Madison Avenue and spent the next 20 years in advertising, creating and implementing marketing strategies that drove new business growth, resulting in the successful onboarding of clients such as Coca-Cola, Comcast, Electronic Arts, Nike, Pinkberry, Princess Cruises and the US Army among many others.

I now apply those same principles of agency; integrity, accountability and hustle to my clients as we work together to define and fulfill their real estate strategies.
