New 6RHR Model

As promised, here’s the first part of the series that seeks to explain why I passionately believe my 6RHR Model should be the minimum standard for any HR or People Function around the world.
Why did I create the 6RHR Model?
One of the key areas in my research for my book “Human Resources Changes the World”, centred around the need for a HR North Star. During this time and even today I found a lot of great ideas and concepts that used lots of great jargon or fancy words, however, I couldn’t find anything simple and in plain English (that’s not to say it isn’t out there).
The model itself centres on 5 key pillars that are supported by the 6th which underpins the future of HR.
For now, I am going to cover the 6 areas only. In future articles/posts I will go further into detail around each (please do let me know if you would prefer this as an article/post or a video?)
So here they are:
· Right Strategy – this sounds like an obvious one, but you would be surprised.
· Right Company Set-up – for example - do you have the right leadership in place etc.
· Right HR Practices – are your HR processes, procedures and policies fit for the 21st Century i.e. designed with the end user in mind?
· Right HR Team and Function – is your HR team and Function consisting of professionals with a growth mindset and are People at the front of your Functions vision?
· Right Future Focus – are you in front of the wave or behind it?
· Right Technology (Set-up), Artificial Intelligence and Big Data – essentially are you using 21st century tools that are configured to add value, and influencing the company’s people strategy and direction with the data at your fingertips?
I hope that this gives you just enough to consider your current HR reality. I am more than happy to have any feedback to shape this model further as we evolve the function even more so over the years to come.
Oh and if you can share, comment and like this post it will help spread the message. Also, don't forget to pick up a copy of my book as all proceeds for the next year are going to the Parkinson's charity in memory of my Dad or if you would like to donate here you go:

5 年(Continuation) - Customer service across the remainder of the Apple Corporation was extremely poor.? Some time later the business leaders at Apple realised that this could not continue if they were to compete with those companies that were catching them up as a result of alternative technology, namely analogue mobile telephones that could compete with the iPhone.? For HR professionals to leverage culture, they need to ensure that people feel, think and act consistent with the promises made to customers and other stakeholders.?
