New 2025 Tesla Model Y Juniper Revealed: Roomier & Longer Range Than Old Model

The best-selling electric car in the world has received a much-awaited upgrade. Tesla recently revealed the new 2025 Model Y, which features a new exterior design, interior tech upgrades, and, most importantly, improved range and acceleration. Here are all the details about the new 2025 Tesla Model Y ‘Juniper’.

Electric Powertrain & Performance

Only the Long Range AWD and RWD variants of the 2025 Tesla Model Y were upgraded. While the Standard Range models remain the same.

• Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive: Delivers 671hp, achieving 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds with a range of up to 662km (CLTC).
• Plaid: Features a tri-motor setup producing 1,006hp. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 4.3 seconds and offers a range of 719km (CLTC).
• Both variants continue to feature 400-volt architecture and the same battery capacity.
• The range has been improved because of improved aerodynamics and energy consumption.

Exterior Updates

The 2025 Model Y’s exterior design incorporates subtle yet impactful updates, including:

• Redesigned front and rear bumpers for enhanced aerodynamics.
• New headlights and taillights featuring updated LED signatures.
• Streamlined side mirrors for reduced drag.
• New wheel designs range from 19 to 20 inches, optimised for aesthetics and efficiency.
• It also has flush door handles and a new blue colour.?
