It is never too late to pursue your passion and make a career change.

A career change can be daunting, especially when you have invested years of your life in a particular field. But the truth is that we all evolve, our priorities and interests change, and sometimes the career we chose in the past is no longer a good fit for us. Or sometimes we are forced to do so... An unexpected job loss or other bumps in your journey can accelerate and push you to reinvent yourself. But also present an opportunity to reset, restart and find what you're really passionate about!?

It is never too late to pursue your passion and make a career change. I recently did mine, and I already crossed the 40 yards line. People switch careers at various stages of their lives, and each has a unique path to success and its respective challenges.?

The first step towards making a successful career change is identifying your interests. You may know what you would like to do, but if you still need to, it's worth exploring different options. Think about what excites you, what activities bring you joy, and what kind of work would make you happy. Research different careers, talk to people in various fields, and get a real sense of what it is entitled to. Sometimes we have a mythical perspective of what a certain career involves. For example, people often think that advertising is all about partying and creative brainstorming, but they don't see the stress and long work hours that it carries.?

Once you have identified the kind of work that makes you happy, the next step is building the necessary skills and knowledge. You may need to take courses, attend workshops, or pursue further education to gain expertise for your new career. Some careers may require additional certifications or licenses, so it's important to research and be prepared to put in the effort to gain the necessary qualifications.

Networking is another important aspect of making a career change. Reach out to people who work in your desired field, and try to build connections and relationships. For example, attend industry events, join professional organizations, and connect with people on social media platforms like LinkedIn. Building a solid network can help you find job opportunities, gain valuable insights and advice, and open doors to new opportunities.
