Never Too Late To Change

"Do you really want to exit your career?

You're wasting a very good opportunity here. All those years of experience. Once you’re out, you won’t be able to come back.", common questions asked by my friends.

To which I replied, "Yes, I've put in about 2 good years in this career. I’ve definitely learned a lot. But I know I'm not just what I am now. I have another 40 years ahead. So, to write what's left of 40 years, I can’t let my past dictate my future.

Despite the bright career it promised, I knew I can become more than what I am now. Many people get stuck in careers because they keep making decisions based on the past.

"l understand my industry."

"I'm experienced in this job."

“I’m comfortable being where I am now.”

But do they really enjoy it? Are you pursuing what you desire mostly in life?

To be clear, I'm not asking people to give up when things get tough. I believe careers are hard, and there will be many unenjoyable moments. But if you deeply hate what you do, then it's not entirely a waste to let it go.

Building a meaningful life is never easy. It takes a lot of time, effort & risks. If you long to accomplish your dream, persevere till you reach your end goal even if it means changing your path.
