Never Stop Learning

I grew up in a little town in Illinois. Living in a small town has its advantages but it can only offer so much in the way of educational opportunities. And I needed more than this small town could offer me. I had and continue to have the determination to never stop learning.

I ended up leaving that small town to discover the magnificent world around me. I moved to a big city and I learned about how diverse people and their cultures are. I learned how to accept others and the unique journeys they experience, all without judgement. I learned that by continuing to learn about this fascinating world, I was opening my heart and accepting those who live in pain.

How can you expect to become the person you are supposed to be if you don’t continue to learn? The big things count of course.Growing your knowledge through higher education or working with a mentor in a field that you are passionate about are big ways to continue to learn. But I believe it’s the little things that count. It’s the little things that add up. It’s what we watch, read, and listen to daily that keeps our minds active and engaged.

Learning is the foundation of all my growth and it will continue to mold and change me. What are you doing daily to continue to learn? What are you passionate about and how do you keep that passion flourishing? Share below so that we can learn and grow together. And who knows, you may find something new that piques your interest!
