Never Be Short Of Content Ever Again

Never Be Short Of Content Ever Again

In this article, I want to share with you a way to maximise your content and never be short of content ever again.

This is something that we do for our clients over at BIGDaddy Digital and I have been doing for myself for 8years now, which also makes me look like I'm everywhere and increases my profile and massively grows my opportunities to have conversations, generate partnerships, leads and sales, without any advertising, spend or spammy LinkedIn inbox messages!

Because let's face it, every crap salesperson is desperately doing that right now and has been doing is since LinkedIn began.... buy my stuff, buy my stuff..... it drives me insane!

So in the true values of BIGDaddy, let's get into the show!

So I want to start with a basic piece of content that will be simple to repurpose and whilst you are doing it you are making fresh assets that you can create awareness, traffic and sales, whilst also positioning you as an 'authority' in your field/niche/area of expertise, whatever you want to call it!

The Trusty Webinar!

A way we do it is like this, we watch the video back and take the key points of a particular section, as you will cover many subjects in the average webinar, which is somewhere between 30-90 minutes long.

In our current webinar series which we have gifted to our community, Social Media Sales Training, each session runs for no longer than 60 minutes.

#WebinarTip Never run over, you lose the interest of the audience, they committed to the hour, give them an hour. You don't want to upset them and you do want to leave them wanting more!

Now the key to getting this piece of content right is to structure it in a way which will make sense to the 'reader' we must always have a reader in mind.

Now, why do I say the reader when I'm talking about making a video?

It's because of the way you are going to repurpose this into a mass of digital assets! Remember its difficult to read a video due to localisms and accents etc.

So you take your key points and then in a very simple process remake the video.

  • Intro, telling the viewer what they will get from the video.
  • Then we tell a compelling story around each point.
  • Use a modest claim then ramp up the proof.
  • Repeat that for each point, then at the end, we give the viewer/reader something to take action on (Call To Action) DON'T sell them something, give them something to do that will have a positive impact on them or their business.
  • Then you tell them why it is so important (The outcome will be XYZ) and provide the proof with either a real-life outcome or data.

Then you have a brand new video to use which is far more structured and will probably be shorter than the live piece from the webinar and much more appealing to your viewer.

You can now get it transcribed, which will only need a few minor tweaks with regards to localism or some punctuation, then you have a blog or article for your website or social platforms such as LinkedIn.

The next step is to take your video and use the audio for a wave file just like the one below, it's a nice interesting piece of content which takes seconds to make on platforms such as HeadLiner.

Then this is where the magic happens.

You run your video and written copy through our 'Pillar Piece of Content' model and use the short form social content to drive awareness and traffic back to the brand and the new shiny piece of content.

Now I appreciate that you may be wondering how or what is this model you refer to Steven, well, in short, you chop your video and new blog up and produce many more assets.

There is a lot more to it with regards to styles, visuals, the written word, hooks, trackable links etc and measuring all of that, but I will take you through that in a later blog, I promise its coming.

I just wanted to get you started and give you a flavour and not overwhelm you!

So my friends take those raw training assets of yours and start making fresh video content to repurpose.

BUT... If you haven't made any training assets to repurpose and you are still stuck for content ideas you can do that I have just done...

This started as an email to my client when they said,

"Steven I want to make vlogs from our webinars, what do you think?".

So I replied with an email and thought the process and idea would benefit you, and I will now reverse engineer this and make the video like I explained above, have fun, go and smash it and tag me in your posts to let me know how you get on!
