Never Shoot For Average... Always Go For Savage

Never Shoot For Average... Always Go For Savage

When I watch a youth football game, or any other youth sport, it’s extremely easy to spot the kid out there doing everything possible to avoid getting hurt. Frequently, it’s painfully obvious. The kid who’s doing as much as possible to avoid getting hurt is a great kid and he seldom makes a mistake. The rest of the story is he sucks at football. He will continue to suck at football and nothing will change until he starts moving with some purpose on the football field. In other words… He risks getting himself hurt.

What about the kid on the other end of the spectrum… This kid is going head first into the mix, has no fear and in doing so the kids on the other team are scared shitless of him. This kid is ‘in their head’. Yes, this is the kid that makes a whole lot of mistakes.

The same rules are PAINFULLY obvious when someone starts or wants to grow their business. Some are content with mediocrity and others want to go for the gold. These owners go head first into each day, make plenty of mistakes and focus on incremental improvement. If your competition was in the stands and watching how you run your business, which kids would they see?

It’s worth noting the quarterback who throws the most TD’s typically throws the most interceptions. It’s worth noting the pitcher who throws the most strikeouts also walks more batters and the home run hitter has the most strike outs. Maximum effort leads to maximum reward. Mediocre effort has never led anyone in business or in life to the top of the mountain. Never! When I re-read the first book I wrote, it was hard to stay awake and I was happy it had wide margins!

My name is Steven Clauson.??I coach?people who want help getting where they want to be. ?The people I coach are typically already taking action, getting results and?ask what’s next and what actions to take?to make an even?greater impact.? They aren't afraid to ask for help. ?How can I help you? ?What actions are you taking???Those who have a plan and implement that plan lead the pack.? Planning, preparing to win and taking appropriate action means you?hear the word?"YES"?more than ever.?Only if you are one of the few willing to take action, do what's required and?play full out?are you likely to hear the word yes more often. ?People hearing the word?"YES"?are winners?on the playing field because they play full out and dominate.? For these?people?results matter.? Tired of results?less than you know you can produce???Call me at 916-230-0176 or visit?www.assaultmarketing.com
