Never Settle….chat gpt or Me?

Never Settle….and read on to decipher if it was Chat GPT or me who wrote this article… #NeverSettle #AIAssist

It has been approximately 22 years since I embarked on my corporate journey after completing my bachelor's degree in commerce from Pune, India. Eager to start earning immediately, I seized the opportunity to join Deloitte, becoming one of the first few employees in our Hyderabad branch. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with Hinduja Global Solutions and completing my Executive Program in Business Management from IIM Kolkata, Cognizant, and Teleperformance. I vividly recall being pregnant with my son, Arnav, when I sat for my exams in Hyderabad, with my husband waiting outside the examination hall with coconut water and fruits.

Throughout my career, I have relished every moment in the corporate world, as it has been a tremendous source of learning and personal growth. Considering that we spend a significant portion of our waking hours at work, it is crucial to find a sense of purpose in what we do.

The incredible talent I have encountered over the past 22 years and across four different organizations has been nothing short of inspiring. From exceptional leaders to remarkable colleagues, I have had the privilege of working alongside a diverse range of personalities. Undoubtedly, I have had my fair share of challenges, and I am certain that others have had to navigate through them as well.

Over the years there are three aspects of my corporate journey that continue to fuel my passion for the industry I joined at the age of 21.

Never Settle:

Throughout my career, I have never settled. Perhaps it is due to my tendency to seek new challenges every 18 months to 2 years, where I start feeling restless and yearn for more responsibilities. I have actively pursued opportunities in various functional areas, ranging from delivery and training to transitions, solutions, account management, business development, and even human resources. This constant curiosity and desire to push my limits has not always been advantageous, but it has allowed me to take risks and discover what truly drives me. I am grateful to have been supported on this journey by leaders who recognized and valued my skills and talents.

Keep Learning:

Admittedly, finding time for continuous learning is a constant struggle. With only 24 hours in a day, and a necessary 7-8 hours dedicated to sleep, it can be challenging to pursue all the aspirational thoughts that occupy my mind. Whether it is dedicating more time to my children, engaging in regular exercise, reading extensively, taking singing lessons, or even considering a professional AI ethics course, the opportunities for personal growth and expansion seem endless. Life is a boundless adventure, and there is always something new to learn. Therefore, it is essential to never settle and continuously seek opportunities for growth. Fortunately, the corporate world excels in providing avenues for learning and invests in retaining the best talent.

Be Disciplined:

While perfection may be an unattainable goal, I firmly believe that discipline allows us to accomplish tasks in the most imperfectly perfect way. By maintaining disciplined thoughts and actions, we can achieve remarkable outcomes. Perfection is anyway overrated and as they say, "Just do it!" is the mantra, and then be disciplined in your follow-up and keep improvising.

The journey towards being one with AI will need us to never settle, keep learning, actually unlearning, and be disciplined.

Now, you might be wondering if Chat GPT assisted in writing this article, so let me know what you think. Let me know what you think of the write-up and whether you believe it captures the essence of my corporate journey.

A bit clear from the content and personal experiences shared in the article that it was written by a human author (i.e. ME), not Chat GPT. I did use Chat GPT to refine the verbiage used, it is just excellent as Shilpi mentioned a great assist tool. Has cut my time for certain writing by half.

Looks like you are the whole and sole author. I have no clue how intellectual Chat GPT is. I tend to stay away from such things. Maybe I should be a bit more open. And someday I might embrace it. But that's a different debate. From what I've seen, I don't think you needed any assistance from anyone or ' anything '. I might be right, or wrong. Let me know.
