What is Smartrak's Charging Stations layer?

The Charging Stations Layer is a dynamic map overlay that displays all public EV charging stations across New Zealand, complete with live information. This feature aims to make EV management more efficient and convenient, helping to alleviate range anxiety for our users.

How to activate the Charging Stations layer?

Getting started is simple:

1. Open Smartrak Maps
2. Activate the Charging Stations Layer: Look for the new Charging Stations icon in the map layers menu and click to enable it.
3. Explore the map: Once activated, all public EV charging spots will appear on the map as distinct icons.

Key features

By clicking on any charging station on the map, you can access a wealth of live information, including:

• Exact address
• Charger type
• Charging capacity (kW)
• Availability status (Is it currently occupied?)
• Cost (Is it paid or free?)
