Never Quit. Your Present Circumstances Do Not Determine Your Future.

Many people believe that someone's present circumstances determine there future. However, I honestly believe that that our present circumstances do not determine our future, but only indicate our starting point.?
Your present circumstances do not determine your future.
Take me for example, I lived in the South Bronx Housing Projects for 27 years, been desperately poor, brutally assaulted and surrounded by unimaginable situations. However, I never succumbed to my conditions as a stopping block. I was determined to succeed and used my skills and fortitude to push through all the obstacles in front of me.?
Throughout my lifetime of battles, I always managed to have a job, regardless of its lack in glamour, established a successful career in the Army Reserves, where I am a Commissioned Officer today, working in the industry of my dreams, successfully completed an MBA and currently working towards my second Masters degree.?
With that said, I never gave up and I will NEVER QUIT. I will continue to strive towards achieving my goals; being a positive leader in my family, progressing in my career, staying educated, and doing my absolute best at everything I touch, while always striving to better myself and those around me.?

Therefore, you are not limited by your present circumstances. Consistently strive to move forward everyday, one battle at a time, without ceasing. Then you will look back and say, "It was well worth it."?

6 年Hi Jonathan - I just stumbled upon your post from last year. It's good to hear about the direction your life and career is going in. We can never abandon hope and need to realize as long as we have breath there are possibilities. Not everyone has the same abilities or advantageous, however, we can always move forward and break lose from our own self-imposed constraints. Sometimes we just need a good push (internaly or externally) and it never hurts to have family and friends in our corner.
