Never Quit

Talent is not why I am where I am today. Hard work and perseverance is what got me here. Talent is what has kept me here. I always had to "outwork" my peers. When the opportunities do not present themselves one must work to create them. Perseverance is what keeps you going after hearing no time after time. It's important to remember that every "no" you hear puts you 1 step closer to the "yes". Hold on to your dreams and aspirations and don't let anyone discourage you from working towards your goals. I am fortunate to have an amazing person in my corner, who never lost faith and was there to encourage me to keep going. She believed in me at my lowest points of my career.

My growth as a leader was not in achieving a certain level of success. It was identifying those who helped me get here, and it was understanding it is my responsibility to help others make that breakthrough.

I have seen many people climb 90% of the mountain only to give up and turn around, not knowing how close they are to the peak. The last 10% may certainly be the toughest, as we are exhausted. It is going to hurt whether you give up or continue to go on.

My story is not Unique, there are many just like me, with different backgrounds, challenges that have to outwork everyone because we have not recognized our "talents". To those who are struggling in their personal and professional lives, there are many like me who will extend our hand and lift you up. Don't be afraid to ask for help!
