You're probably familiar with the advice:
"face your fear!"
"do one thing every day that scares you"
"don't let your fear keep you from chasing your dreams in life"
All facets of our lives are impacted by this general, repeating advice. Doing scary things helps you grow. It happens when you step outside of your comfort zone.?
Before you take a step, you start asking yourself, "What do I want?" Even after knowing the answer, you usually hesitate to take action. Definitely, the ?rst step is always the most challenging, yet rewarding.?
Nothing comes forward without trying.
You should therefore try to overcome your fear as it is a bully. It will keep telling you what to do, and as you follow its directives, it gains power. Similar to a bully, they are influential and in control when people do as they say. But when you try to overcome your fear or face the bully, it tells you the opposite, and you gain courage.
Do new things instead of letting fear hold you back.?
You may apply for a different job, launch your own business, ask someone out, or perform in an open crowd. Take a chance because sometimes the best experience in life comes from facing our biggest fears. Although you might fail and make mistakes, it's still worthwhile to fight for your dreams.
Everything starts with you. Don't block the opportunities because of your fears. Here are the three (3) reasons why you should try things that scare you:

1. You will learn something.
You will learn something while facing your fears. Due to trying it, you could make mistakes. But making mistakes is a matter of perception.?
In fact, many great successes start with failure since making mistakes helps them to grow. And the only people who never fail are the ones who never try.?
2. You will create a different kind of comfort zone
Every day is a fresh opportunity to overcome your fears and achieve your goals. So start living courageously by doing one thing every day that gives you a genuine surge of fear. Remind yourself that a comfort zone is not a space for growth. Instead, build something different for yourself that will allow you to grow.
3. You will become more open to new opportunities.
When you cling to what is comfortable and familiar, you end up isolating yourself in a small bubble that stops you from doing things important to you. Let yourself be open to new opportunities that will bring you happiness and fulfillment. Yet, the best approach to stop regretting things you didn't do is to start doing it scared.
You only have one life to live, and if you choose to let fear, or the bully, rule your decisions, you will undoubtedly miss out on some amazing experiences life has to offer. Don't let your fear controls you, control your fear. Go on by trying things that scare you!
